By having the pan at the top of the fire feature, the space below is left empty, greatly improving air flow, which is especially helpful for propane-fueled fires that require oxygen to keep their flames burning. This empty space also means less spending for you, as you are not required to use fillers, such as sand or lava rock, to ensure your beautiful fire media rests at the top of your fire feature where it can best be seen.
The Stanbroil Fire Pit Burner Pan comes in various shapes and sizes to suit any type of fire pit, including round flat pans, round drop-in pans, rectangular flat pans, rectangular drop-in pans, and linear drop-in pans. The size options range from 13"x13" to 72"x6", ensuring a perfect fit for your specific needs.
When planning and designing your fire pit, it's important to use the product in outdoor approved locations only, install the proper size gas line based on the BTU's of the appliance, and maintain proper clearances (48" from the sides surrounding the fire pit). The enclosure must incorporate two air vents, with a minimum of 18 square inches on each side of the pit. The enclosure may require additional ventilation based on the material, size, and use.
To calculate the amount of fire glass needed for your fire pit, use the following formulas: - Circular or Rounded Fire Pits or Fire Bowls: Diameter x Diameter x Depth, divided by 24 = pounds of fire glass needed. - Square or Rectangle Fire Pit: Width x Length x Depth, divided by 19 = pounds of fire glass needed.
